ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm Jamie, The Culinary Encourager.
Eight years is quite a long time to be committed to something. But, when you have passion as a driving force, it's not long enough. I created Georgetown Foodland in Georgetown, South Carolina, out of a trauma. It became my saving grace, helped the culinary industry in that town, too. It wasn't a job. I didn't make money off it. I spent thousands of dollars to build the brand that folks in surrounding counties wanted a part of.
Georgetown restaurants - and its people - will always be the founding focus. The cuisine in that area is so great because of the people who create it. I will always cherish my time with them, in their dining areas and their kitchens.
Now, I've transitioned to The Culinary Encourager. My mission grows beyond my hometown to include the nation - and possibly worldwide.
Go to your nomnom place and be a culinary encourager. Support the culinary industry, from the farmers to the dishwashers. Be a beacon of light for those stuck in a kitchen. Make them feel their effort, their food... their creations are worth it.
