Anyone who knows me knows I love BBQ. So, it's without question that I'd be out seeking the stuff out in Greenville County. I've already found a few great ones up, which I have written about already. Now, it's time to share with you another great find.
Smoky Dreams Barbecue and Catering is located at 2131 Woodruff Road. Family owned, family run and family building. What do I mean by that last part? Well, you become part of the family when you dine in or order out. They really treat you like you've been around for years.
As goes the focus on providing great food, they strive in creating an atmosphere where folks know other by their first name and know their regular orders. As I was at the window one time waiting on my order, a person walked up and owner Chris Brink knew exactly what he was there for. "Hey... your rack of ribs and pulled pork sandwich today?" As the gentleman nodded, he received a smile and "we gotcha" in return.
That's "where everyone is family" turns into normal interaction.
Smoky Dreams BBQ uses only the freshest meats and produce and everything is cooked daily with delectable, original seasonings and sauces. Smoked to perfection . . . brisket, pork, chicken, ribs and even the wings literally fall off the bone. The seasonal soups and vinegar slaw are truly unique, and there's creamy lemon and peanut butter pie to top it off.
Easy in and easy out with 4 entrances off of the Woodruff Rd. and Highway 14 intersection, right next to McDonald’s, it's easy to find. The menu is simple and call-ahead orders can get you in and out in a hurry. Bulk sales and catering are available almost any day too.
Is your mouth watering yet? Come join the family Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Early and late pickup is available upon request.
Chris, his mom Nancy, father Howard and brother Tim are always providing smiles with heaping helpings of barbecue. Whether it be brisket, chicken or pork, there's always something good to have at this joint, that's for sure.
