You can say "the passion of chocolate" has grown for CocoBon Chocolatier. They've opened up a second shop in Simpsonville, South Carolina.
And they had a packed house at 105 SE Main Street during the Simpsonville Christmas Parade.
There's a great story about this awesome business, with a snippet below.
In early 2015 we entered and in June, won the “Accelerate Anderson Downtown Challenge.” By December 2015 we opened our vintage styled shop located at 111 N. Main Street, Anderson SC and we’ve never looked back. We celebrate the history of our downtown and the specific history of the building we call home.
We’ve consistently grown by developing and offering new products, new flavors and a unique visitor experience in our vintage styled location. Our products are all handmade by us from our original recipes. We are as “All natural” as possible with our ingredients using no preservatives or additives. We work with as many local providers as possible to offer “Farm to table” chocolate confections. Our dedication to freshness and quality can only come from the small batch, all natural product offerings we provide.
We met Chef David Saidat during the parade when we went in to get some succulent chocolates. He and his staff capture a true chocolatier experience and present to the masses as authentic as their confections. It's truly a divine masterpiece, and a breath of fresh air in a fast-paced world.
With a cool demeanor, Saidat began to tell us about what was behind the glass. His attention to detail is bar none. He's articulate and proficient, treating his creations with love and hoping the love carries over to the customer once they have a taste.
David Saidat began CocoBon Chocolatier when his favorite chocolate shop went our of business in 2002. With a passion for chocolates he grew up with, he set about learning the processes to make the same kind and improve on the chocolates he loved.
Chef Dave has a keen mind for marketing and an ability to develop food products everyone loves. Although his background is not originally in food, he has developed a strong following for both his sweets and his savory food offerings.
Chef Dave is in his daily dress favoring the style of the vintage confectionery shop he created. He has won a national award for one of his truffle flavors, has met with many Food Network personalities and has worked as a guest with Jacques Torres in one of his shop in New York City.
He has launched two brands and created over 100 unique chocolate products.
And those products... Oy! What we had was so darn good. The Eggnog Truffle, Pistachio Truffle, Palmetto Paws and the Peanut Cluster in Milk Chocolate were superb!
