Devil’s Foot Beverages Delivers A New Standard in Ginger Beer

Devil’s Foot Beverages got started in 2017 with a group of friends brewing a bourbon mixer in their Asheville backyard. These friends also happened to have deep roots in the outdoor industry, so they decided to make their brewing process as sustainable as possible.

The result? Two farm-to-can craft Ginger Beers, Classic and Fuego!

Light, crisp, and delicious. Only 15g of sugar and 68 calories per can. Ingredients: Organic Ginger Root, Regional (SC) honey, Organic Cane Sugar, Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice.

Extra Ginger heat plus a little added sweetness. Ginger is the star of the show in this beauty! Only 19g of sugar and 82 calories per can. Ingredients: Organic Ginger Root, Regional (SC) honey, Organic Cane Sugar, Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice.

Far Less Sugar than 7 Top Ginger Beer Brands:

Both Classic and Fuego have a much lower sugar content than a traditional Ginger Beer, without sacrificing taste.

Per 12 ounces of liquid:

  • Reed’s Ginger Beer – 35g sugar

  • Barritts Ginger Beer – 48g sugar

  • Fever Tree Premium Ginger Beer – just under 32g sugar

  • Goslings Ginger Beer – 47g sugar

  • Goya Ginger Beer – 43g sugar

  • Canada Dry Bold – 36g sugar

  • Even Q Ginger Beer, which uses agave, rings in at 32g of sugar per 12 oz.

  • Devil’s Foot Classic – 15g sugar

  • Devil’s Foot Fuego – 19g sugar

What is Farm-to-Can?

No concentrates here! Devil’s Foot sources real fruit from real farmers, all organic, local, or family-run. The ingredients on a can of Devil’s Foot read like the produce section of your grocery store. Add filtered water and just a bit of organic cane sugar and local honey – not too sweet, just enough to bring out the real fruit taste.

Sustainability (Whole Fruit Life)

In addition to sourcing ingredients organically or from local or family-run farms, Devil’s Foot Beverages also upcycles food ingredients. More importantly, they re-home or compost byproducts of their soda-making process. Because this process creates massive amounts of fresh lemon and lime zest, they package and freeze that byproduct to sell to other local makers (they count breweries, a tea company, and a jam company among their current customer base).
