Dayna Lee-Marquez had a vision. Her pop-ups were brining the pow-pow flavors to the Greenville natives, but she wanted that South Texas cuisine-style food to have a permanent home.
She found one in November of 2021.
Located at 1112 Woodside Avenue, the former home of Woodside Bistro, Lee-Marquez planted her flag, establishing an eatery that provides affordable food, tasty dishes and serious zings to taste buds that encounter the flavor profiles of each item offered.
That eatery is Comal 864.
Lee-Marquez also strives to use the freshest ingredients around. She wants her dishes as authentic - and fresh - as possible. People who have tasted her food through pop-ups know the taste, so it's going to be expected the consistency flows through the food served here.
You can also get breakfast here, in the form of tacos or plates. The Chorizo and Egg tacos are superb. If it's a plate you desire, you must get Mexican Avocado Toast, which is Texas toast with guacamole spread and two fried eggs.

Go by and see Dayna and check out the massive flavors contained inside a small building.
