Slice of Brooklyn Pizza gets a 'hot honey' introduction

We've stopped in many places since being in Simpsonville, but the excitement, laughter, liveliness and tastes at Slice of Brooklyn Pizza has us coming back again and again.

And, with Brooklyn in the name, I thought it would be awesome to introduce them to Mike's Hot Honey.

After speaking with these cool guys, and leaving a couple boxes of individual Mike's Hot Honey packets for their customers, we decided to enjoy a meal in the joint. Just wow. That's all I can say.

Would you just look at all that? It was so darn tasty! The extra cheese and pepperoni pizza was out of this world. The crust was perfect. And, even after a few days in the fridge at home, I warmed it up in my oven and it tasted just like I had gotten it minutes away from the restaurant. The crust wasn't brittle or hard as a rock. The cheese is one that lingers, not only in flavor, but on the pan as you pull your slice away. It is legit.

The pasta was superb. We had the Vodka Made Me Do It, which is this...

// FRESH GNOCCHI SARDI // HOUSE MADE ALLA VODKA SAUCE // CHICKEN BREAST // SCALLION // TOPPED WITH PARMIGIANA //

They partner with The Pasta Addict, and if you know, you know. Their work is a thing of beauty.

The Stromboli has pepperoni and sausage in it. The crust, again, was marvelous. To die for.

Captain America would love this, for sure. This dish got the Mike's Hot Honey drizzle (shown in first photo)!

But, those garlic knots... Oh.My.God! So freaking amazing. They are the best my wife's had in forever. If you love garlic knots, you haven't had garlic knots until you have had these. Trust me.

After speaking and visiting with Jennifer, Gregg and "Cuzzo" that evening, I see this the next day...

Not only have they let customers try the regular hot honey, but Gregg let's these awesome people try the extra hot version I left him. Kudos to you, bud. As you can see, they loved it.

Go by 134 South Main Street in Simpsonville today and tell them we sent you. They might have some packets of the regular hot honey left. If not, the food - and the excitement - will do you plenty good.
